This moment is new
It’s never been and will never be again
I want to celebrate it
To greet it with the wonder in the eyes of
a babe
First opened to light
I want to sing it, dance
with it
To pour my life into it so that it
May know the joy of its being
I want to suckle it, to nourish it
To bring it up to full blossom
Until it bursts open with the
Seed of the next moment
And dies
And then I want to do it again.
